AWARD-WINNING BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

Formally established in 2018, Frontier Co-op’s Breaking Down Barriers to Employment initiative aims to address systemic barriers to employee success and economic mobility by providing important support services including access to subsidized childcare options, transportation, second chance hiring practices, and apprenticeship and skills training programs with the aim of ensuring employees and program participants are successful not only within our co-op, but the wider community.

One of the things I'm most proud of related to our purpose-driven work is our Breaking Down Barriers to Employment initiative. It's a perfect example of how using your business to do some good in the world really works for the company too... Our employees, there's a story behind each of them and it doesn't necessarily sound like my story. Every one of them is facing their own unique barriers, and if Frontier Co-op can help address or break those down, we should.
